Let’s recap some of those wonderful moments below.
Invitational Shitoryu Karate-do Youth Championship: Some 180 young karatekas from 13 foreign and 5 local clubs participated in the 13 kata and 11 kumite events. SKA emerged with 10 golds, but not after staving off some very tough competition.
Technical Seminar: Shihans Sakamoto, George Tan and Kawata conducted the seminar, more than 70 participants from overseas and local had the opportunity to learn the “Hakucho” kata and its bunkai.
SKA 45th Anniversary Dinner & Dance: The celebrations culminated with the D&D cum Sayonara Party (for the foreign delegates). It was a fantastic evening of food, fun and revelry. Two and seventy members and guests attended the function.
